UK EXPANSION WORKER VISA:

With the closing of both the Tier 1 Investor and Overseas Representative visas in early 2022, there remain very limited routes into the United Kingdom via business immigration that may eventually lead to Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR). One of the most currently viable options for High-Net-Worth Individuals, Entrepreneurs & Business Owners is the UK

Expansion Worker visa route, which can be considered the de facto “successor” to the Sole Rep visa.

Complicated Process -> Made Simple

At first glance, navigating through the Sponsor Licence, the UK Expansion Worker visa and then switching to the Skilled Worker visa seems incredibly daunting and complicated. The reality however is quite different. All of the various application steps and processes will be handled by Adam Bernard Solicitors. The benefits of this route to ILR are significant:

1) You will be managing a UK branch of your existing Overseas Company;

2) The visa is not limited to one single applicant; 3)There are less immediately forced English Language requirements;

4) There are no shareholding limitations regarding the Overseas Company;

5)There are no incredibly restrictive Innovation, Viability or Scalability criteria and

6) You will be eligible for ILR after approximately 6 years.

Visas can be denied for several reasons, including criminal records, prior immigration violations, incomplete or incorrect forms and insufficient funds. All visa applications require the applicant’s full disclosure of any facts that would have a bearing on the application. If requested, an applicant must also submit additional documents to support an application within a particular timeframe.

There are a lot of other reasons for denial of visas and they include not having required documentation, not passing the required medical examinations, or your job skills not matching with what is generally expected by the job role you intend to apply for. These are just some of the reasons that can lead to visas being denied but there are many more. Unfortunately in some cases, applicants are not given the reason for their visa refusal. The UKBA has the full discretion to grant or refuse any visa application on the basis of public interest.
