Tier 2 – Intra Company Transfer

This route is specific to companies that have global reach with offices around the world. It enables companies to transfer workers from one of their branches in a different country to their UK offices. This route is only available where there is common ownership between the different branches. When making these applications there are several strict requirements that need to be navigated to ensure that an applicant is successful. There are 2 types of applications under this route:

Long-Term Staff

  • The minimum financial requirement that one will have to meet under this route is £41,500
  • An applicant will have to have worked for the company for at least 1 year unless the company is willing to pay an annual salary of at least £73,900 a year.
  • It must be show that the applicant has at least £945 available to them upon entry to the UK and have had this figure for 90 days prior to the date of application
  • The applicant must hold a certificate of sponsorship from his employer – this must be used within 3 months of it being granted
  • TB Certificate
  • Evidence of the applicants travel history for the past 5 years prior to the date of application
  • It must be evidenced that the applicant has worked for his employer whilst outside of the UK
  • Where the applicant earns more than £120,000 annually, they will be permitted to stay in the UK on this visa for a maximum of 9 years
  • Where the applicant earns less than £120,000 annually, they will be permitted to stay in the UK on this visa for a maximum of 5 years 1 month

Graduate Trainees

  • The minimum financial requirement that an applicant will need to meet is £23,000
  • It must be show that the applicant has at least £945 available to them upon entry to the UK and have had this figure for 90 days prior to the date of application
  • The applicant must hold a certificate of sponsorship from his employer – this must be used within 3 months of it being granted
  • TB Certificate
  • Evidence of the applicants travel history for the past 5 years prior to the date of application
  • It must be evidenced that the applicant has worked for his employer whilst outside of the UK
  • An applicant that is successful under this route will be able to stay in the UK on this visa for a maximum of 12 months
