She deals with non-contentious employment matters. Ms. Sheikh aims to reach settlement at the earliest stage and exhausts all opportunities to negotiate. Ms. Sheikh has experience in all stages of Employment litigation. 

Civil Litigation

Ms. Sheikh provides sound legal advice to assist her clients from as early as pre-action stages. She has acted for both Claimants and Defendants. She utilises alternative disputes resolution where appropriate. She has experience in dealing with landlord and tenant disputes, nuisance disputes, rent and service charge arrears, enforcement proceedings, contractual disputes, breach of contract, and negligence claims. Ms. Sheikh has dealt with various applications for injunctions, set aside a judgment, stay of proceedings, specific disclosure and more.

 Cost proceedings

Ms. Sheikh is regularly instructed in costs proceedings for both summary and detailed assessment. Ms. Sheikh liaises with costs lawyers to ensure that both paying and receiving parties settle without incurring the further costs of litigation.

Bankruptcy and Insolvency

Ms. Sheikh has experience in dealing with both private individuals and companies in relation to issue statutory demands, set aside statutory demands, interim and final charging orders. Ms. Sheikh has successfully set aside statutory demands and settled costs between parties.

Driving Offences

Ms. Sheikh is regularly instructed on various driving offence matters including speeding, driving without insurance or third-party insurance, dangerous driving, and drink driving. Ms. Sheikh is also instructed on appeals in the Crown Court.

Prior to Adam Bernard Solicitors, Tayyeba has worked as a caseworker in complex Criminal Appeals to overturn unsafe convictions.
