Residential Tenancy Agreements

A residential tenancy agreement is the contract used by a landlord to rent out a residential dwelling (non-commercial use) to a tenant. This agreement gives certain rights to both the landlord and the tenant. For example, the tenants right to occupy the accommodation and the landlord’s right to receive monetary rent in exchange.

Why Adam Bernard?

It is essential that residential tenancy agreements are written in accordance with reference to the particular rental property as there may be specific provisions needed in order to maintain the building in question. To keep both residential landlord and the tenants’ rights protected, Adam Bernard Solicitors can write detailed and tailored residential tenancy contracts which will safeguard both parties from breaches in agreement.

A Residential Tenancy Agreement Will Include:

  • Services (if any) provided by the landlord
  • Rules and obligations of both parties
  • Notice period
  • Amount of rent payable
